What a way to finish off a concert series! I was very very nervous for today. Culture Club is the first high profile band I have worked with and I was honestly scared about how this day would go. I arrived super early because I wanted to make a good impression to their crew to start the day off right to hopefully make the rest of day go as smooth. There were so many challenges with this day with things not going the way it was supposed to. Nothing seemed to be going our way when we started the day off but remembering "Nothing is a Crisis" we got through every curveball. For a nervous as I was it turned out to be a great day. Their tour manager Obrenka is such an amazing person to work with. I think she could see the fear and determination in my eyes to make sure this day went according to plan. It was such a new experience and the level of professionalism was incredible. They had three sound boards! They didn't want to use any of our equipment they had everything set up super quick it was quite amazing to just sit back and watch. Then Culture Club arrived and they were great. They loved how things were ready and Boy George is awesome! I was able to bring his catering to his room and he was like "Thank you love!" It was great! The show went on without a hitch and the crowd loved it! I have loved working concerts and I look forward to working on more.
This is a blog documenting my time as an intern at Tuacahn Center for the Arts. Here you can find all of the amazing things I was able to be a part of and how the magic is made at Tuacahn. Expect the Unforgettable!
